The Winter 2019 Newsletter is here!
From the 2020 Co-Chairs
New Academies Collaborative Co-Chairs, Beth Levant (University of Kansas School of Medicine) and Andrea Berry (University of Central Florida College of Medicine) would like to thank all Academies Collaborative (AC) members for welcoming us as your new leaders. We’re excited to co-chair as we’re moving to make AC an independent non-profit organization.
Beyond the work around the organization’s 501(c)3 status, our goals focus on branding to ensure our organization is recognized by our current and future members and maintaining many of the tremendous programs and resources established by our predecessors, Alisa Nagler and Shari Whicker and steering committee members (Katie Huggett, Giulia Bonaminio, Janet Corral, Barrett Fromme, Diana McNeill, Jeannine Nonaillada, Senthil Rajasekaran, and Judith Taylor-Fishwick).
Save the date for 2020, our meeting will occur on November 13, 2020 and will continue to be linked to the AAMC Learn Serve Lead conference. Beyond our annual meeting, we would like to engage you throughout the year.

How can you engage with AC?
- Utilize the Academies Collaborative listserv to ask questions, seek answers, and share best practices of your Academy with colleagues! Contact Barrett Fromme MD, MHPE to join or for technical help @ [email protected]
- Recommend a topic for a just-in-time webinar. If there is enough interest from our members, we’re happy to facilitate a discussion.
- Submit an update, innovation or article to the AC newsletter. We would like to continue to highlight academies and their experiences and ideas. Email [email protected] with your article idea.
- Consider serving on the AC Steering Committee. Over the summer we will again consider new members. This is a great way to impact the direction of the organization while gaining national recognition for your service.
The Academies Collaborative Steering Committee produces a newsletter that includes a spotlight on a member academy, briefs on our Collaborative's work, and updates on our Annual Meeting, among other notes. Use either the tabs above to navigate to the newsletter of interest.
